Summer Camp at Stone School


 

 

We are excited to offer summer camp at our historic Stone School House.

Children between the ages of 3-5 years now have the opportunity to enjoy enriching theme based camp experiences.

Cost: $150 per session for non-members/$135 for current Stone School members

1June 4 - 8Creepy CrawlersExplore the world of insects! Children will enjoy digging in the dirt, looking for bugs, and learning about their habitats. Campers also get a chance to play games and activities such as fly swatter painting, walk the spider web, and parachute play.
2June 11-15Games GaloreThis week is filled with a variety of fine and large motor games. Children get an opportunity to have positive group interactions and learn essential social skills through game playing.
3June 25-29Water ExplorationA week filled with water fun! Children will have an opportunity to play in sprinklers, water tables and enjoy picnic style snacks.
4July 2-6Community HelpersLearning about our community and what it has to offer. Children enjoy visits from community helpers such as a bus driver, police officer, and firemen.

5July 9-13Plants and GardeningDuring this week, children get to learn and participating in the basics of planting flowers and care taking for a garden.

7July 23-27Water ExplorationA week filled with water fun! Children will have an opportunity to play in sprinklers, water tables and enjoy picnic style snacks.
8July 30-August 3CampingChildren enjoy recreating outdoor camping experiences. Children will have fun playing with tents, singing songs, and eating s’mores.
9August 6-10BeachThis camp offers fun in the sun! Campers will spend time inside and outside, playing in the sand, water play, and learning about sea creatures.
10August 13-17Phonics FunThis camp offers a fun and play- based approach to the introduction to the most common sounds of the Alphabet, letter recognition and formation.  Activities such as; Going On A Letter Hunt and Alphabet Dig make letter awareness easy and fun!

 

 

Daily Camp Schedule:

9:30-9:45 – Sign in/Drop off

9:45-10:00 – Circle Time (Music & Movement)

10:00-10:45 Free Play/Choice Time

10:45-11:00 Theme based story

11:00-11:15 Snack*

11:15-12:15 Games/Free Choice Outside

12:15-12:30 Sign out/Pick-up

 

*A nut-free snack is provided daily.

 

CAMP INFORMATION


  • Campers should bring a bag labeled (first and last name) water bottle labeled (first and last name), a set of extra dry clothing, and sunscreen labeled (first and last name) if using a brand other than that offered during summer camp.
  • If attending the Water Exploration or Beach Camp please send children to school in their bathing suits under their clothing or in a set of clothing that may get wet in sprinklers, and a towel labeled (first and last name).
