Rauchelle – Teacher
Rauchelle is a former SSCP parent and board member. Rauchelle relished her time at SSCP and is happy to be back to teach the three and four year olds! “I found being involved in a community centered on our children to be rewarding and enriching. The sense of ownership and involvement are a wonderful aspect of being part of a co-op.”
In previous positions Rauchelle has taught pre-k, kindergarten review, 1st grade preparatory classes, and has developed a science program for preschoolers. “I enjoy supporting emerging literacy and math skills through play based and hands on activities, and enjoy helping preschoolers to explore the world of nature. I look forward to working with the students and their parents to provide a rewarding preschool experience.”
Kristen – Classroom Assistant
Kristen has been a parent at SSCP for 4 of the last 5 years. She has served on our Board as Room Group Parent for 2 years and held jobs as assist scheduler, fundraising, and website maintenance. With Kristen’s valuable experience and passion for being able to guide new parents on their roles as assist parents, lending Rauchelle a helping hand in the classroom became second nature. “SSCP is such a diverse and unique community. I love being a parent here and I am thrilled that I can now contribute as the Classroom Assistant.
Kristen obtained her Master’s degree in Psychology with a focus in Social Work and Sociology. Through experience and study she has developed a deep understanding on how our SSCP community works together and is a driving force behind a lot of our growth and improvements. “SSCP is truly special and I believe that we fulfill a need in our community that no other preschool offers. I enjoy working with parents and children, helping them get the most out of their first introduction to school, and becoming members of an organization that I love so much.”
